I recently came across an issue with using cmd.set_view() in PyMOL v1.5.0.1 which I think might warrant a mention on this page. I tried using the command with the 18 float values from get_view as arguments and it stated that it would take only 5 arguments at most. I passed them all as a list and it worked as expected, I will take a look at it in more depth later.
