PyMOL is open source software that is supported by its users! You can download and install it for free. If you are a paid subscriber you get all the new features in a simple installable program, and support from DeLano Scientific. If you aren't a paid subscriber you can download the source code for free, build the software and still access the newest features -- for free! Your other option as a free-users is to download the older binaries, which run 6-12 months behind the releases with the newest features.

Getting PyMOL

Students get free access to the newest PyMOL programs; all you have to do is register. Check out the DeLano Scientific PyMOL Builds site. If you're venturesome, you can get the SVN code from PyMOL on SourceForge.

Learning PyMOL

We have information on the wiki at. We are actively developing content for various users; please feel free to surf around the PyMOLWiki.

Academics

Getting PyMOL

Academics can use the older binaries, compile their own binaries or pay a minimal fee and get access to the newest binaries.
